What to put on your booking page, and what to leave off

Every extra field costs you bookings. The shortest path from interest to confirmed appointment.

Clinic treatment room

A booking page has one job: help a client choose the right service and confirm a suitable time. Start with the information needed for that decision—service name, plain-language description, duration, price, location and who provides it. Put the next available times close to the service rather than making clients request them in a message.

Use service names a new client would recognise. Internal labels and treatment codes may help your team but create hesitation online. If two services sound similar, explain the difference in one sentence and say who each option is for.

Ask only for information required to deliver the appointment safely and communicate about it. Name, contact details and a small number of service-specific questions are often enough at booking. Longer consultation forms can come after confirmation when appropriate, instead of standing between interest and a reserved time.

Show the total due, payment timing and cancellation terms before the final action. If taxes, deposits or booking fees apply, disclose them before payment. The confirmation screen should repeat the appointment details and tell the client where the confirmation and reschedule link were sent.

Leave off long company histories, every policy in full, crowded photo galleries and unrelated promotions. Link to detailed policies for clients who need them, but keep the main path focused. Test the page on a phone and remove any field or paragraph that does not help someone choose, trust or confirm the booking.
